The Leghorn Club UK
www.theleghornclub.com
Welcome to the Website of the UK Leghorn Club Italy was the original home of the Leghorn chicken, first reaching the UK from America about 1870. Increases in body weight were gained by crossing the Minorca and Malay chicken breeds. In commercial circles the white Leghorn has figured prominently in the establishment of high egg-producing hybrids.

Bangalow Poultry Club
www.bangalowpoultryclub.com.au/
The Bangalow Poultry Club has a reputation of being one of the most friendly and well organised Show and Auction, attracting exhibitors from South East Queensland, west of the range around Stanthorpe and Tenterfield and the Northern Rivers of NSW. The pavilion holds 996 birds and the 2010 exhibition was the biggest show in club history with 1009 entries, (portable pens were brought in to house the waterfowl), and we had to turn away about 200 entries. The club runs on time and to schedule so traveling exhibitors can be on the road to home at a reasonable time, as a lot of our exhibitors travel long distances. We organize a friendly and well stocked canteen which provides a big Brekkie, morning tea and yummy luncheon with dedicated workers in attendance for the duration of the show. The Club keeps in touch with all financial members through an annual newsletter outlining what the club has achieved though the year and what plans are made for the future.

Rare Poultry Breeders Association
www.rarepoultrybreedersassociation.com
The Rare Poultry Breeders??? Association was formed on 15th January 2006 by a group of enthusiastic supporters of rare breeds and rare varieties of domestic fowl. It was the brainchild of Dallas Smith, whose inexhaustible enthusiasm for all things to do with pure bred poultry convinced him that there was a need to preserve the genetic integrity of the traditional breeds of exhibition poultry, and to nurture new colour varieties that were being developed here in Australia. Dallas was elected as the association???s inaugural secretary - treasurer and oversaw the running of the club???s first annual show in 2006. This year the association will hold its eighth annual show, and the fine tradition that was established back in 2006 will continue this year and into the future.
