About Me

I'm a retired photographer Tafe teacher and was originally a Letterpress printer.

I've gone back to my printing which is just near the duck houses and not far from my beloved fowls. I've been keeping Leghorns for a few years now and they reward me by being gentle intelligent (for a chook) and amazing layers. They are prolific and breed well. I have a great time rearing every season. My original eggs came from Kelvin Strikland at Longford Tasmania who shows great birds. He probably doesnt remember me but he gave a lot of really useful advice. My birds look pretty grubby at times but then they moult and transform into snow white active foragers. Suprisingly I've only ever lost one to a hawk!
