About Me
I've bred Leghorns since 1970 started with White bantams then added Black and Blue bantams1973, Brown CB bantams 1979, Brown PB, Cuckoo and Pile bantams 1987 buff bantam 1989, Duckwings bantam 1992, Large Black and Blue 1994, Large Buff and Cuckoo, exchequer and Mottled bantams 1997. Over the years I have also bred Wheaten Birchen, Brown Red, Crele, Lavenders and Blue Reds. I have tried unsuccessfully to create a line of Partridge but I'll keep trying. At present I have Large Black, Blue and Cuckoo and Bantam Black, Blue, Brown CB, Brown PB, Buff, Cuckoo, Silver Duckwing, Pile, Wheaten, Birchen and Brown Red. I also breed Ancona SC, Red Ancona SC Bantam, Andalusian Bantam, Australian Game large and Bantam. I have won major awards at different shows with most of the standard colours of leghorn. My main aim is to promote the differnt colours where possible and to encourage others to breed some of the rarer colours. Hi there would very much like to see some of the rarer colours if you can take some pict and some info on how you breed them as i was under the impression that know lavender leghorns existed in Ozz also how you breed the red ancona as remember seeing them at Michael Oconners when i visited him. regards keith
Hi Eric,
Great to see you on board. Hope you can contribute some helpful tips on breeding colours on our forum page for the novice breeders out there. I think you will find Kieth Ashley interesting with the colours in the UK. Cheers Darren |
